About Me

Hey There,

First of all, of course I am a Pastor’s wife hence my username, but I have not always been. I am from Pennsylvania, and I have been married for 21 years to a blessing of a man. We are both saved (through Jesus Christ) and filled with the Holy Ghost. My husband and I actually had a divine meeting that I know was ordained by the Lord, but once married he settled into the church where I had been a member for a couple of years. That church ended up being the most spiritually abusive experience of both of our lives. I still don’t know how we made it through, but we did with the grace of God. Once free from that spiritual bondage and with the knowledge that we both had specific callings on our lives we actually went into what we thought was spiritual hiding for more than a few years. I COULD write a book, but a blog is easier lol. God finally got tired of playing with us I suppose, and He brought us out in a mighty way. Being blessed with many spiritual gifts from God, He began to use us for His glory and purpose and then chose my husband to move seven states away to attend to His (God’s) work. In a city with a kazillion churches, and just the promise of God we set our feet upon the Rock and are walking by faith. I am definitely a woman of faith and believe wholeheartedly that God will do what He said He would do. I have my days of weakness, and days that I can hardly pray yet I believe and I trust God’s word. I am in school attempting to finish my Master’s in Human Service Counseling (completion in December 2016). We have four adult children that we are truly thankful to have in our lives. I wholeheartedly believe in supporting those who have been hurt or abused in ministry. If you need an ear, I am here. If you need to vent, please vent. I had to find out for myself that no man can control the gifts that God has put in you, and no man can control the authority that God has given you. To Him be the glory and to Him alone.

Well that’s Me. Your friend in Christ,

A Pastors Wife.

I just wanted to say that I am so glad to have found your site. I saw the link from Vigilant Citizen and was pleasantly surprised that you spoke so boldly, truthfully, and with discernment regarding the present state of music today. I am a follower of Christ although I do not attend a “building” Living in Atlanta full of Eddie Longs and Crelfo Dollas, its hard to find a church that isn’t serving a watered down gospel or just plain incorrect doctrine. That being said I will continue to explore your site. I am a young college student and I am glad to have come across an older woman with discernment. I have searched long and hard for mature women in Christ and have found none. I have no one(I am the only girl in my family and my mother is non practicing) So, that being said, sorry to yack your ear off but this has really made my day. May the Lord keep and guide you,
    A fellow sister in Christ

      Hi Tonnie!

I just want to say that I am glad that you found my site as well, and I give Jesus the praise for that alone. He knows just what we need, thankfully! You know, I have not re-read the About Me page since I started my blog, and now that I have I see that it is very vague; let me allow a little more clarity into who I am: of course I am a mom, which is something that I never thought that I would be, but I love being one. I am 44 years young lol, and I actually did not get “saved” until I was close to 24 years old, so I have been saved about 20 years now (being honest, off and on). A lot of Christians are unwilling to admit that they have backslid at one time or another, but I pride myself on always telling the truth. In my blog I will continue to post about the MANY trials and tribulations that I have personally gone through as a woman, a child of God, and as a wife and finally as a Pastor`s wife. I believe that each phase is of utmost importance in everyone`s walk with Christ.

About you: You sound like such a delightful person. Please do not allow your lack of a church building convict you. I “went to church” without a church building for many years. Did you know that a lot of people are now forming small house groups of believers? Getting back to the organic church system in the bible, I love that! Since we moved to Georgia, it is just us….BUT the beauty of it is that God has us ministering out of a hotel conference room right now, and each week we have transient visitors! Our room that my husband preaches out of is right next to the dining area where the free breakfast buffet is served so patrons get to hear the Word each week which is a blessing! We have people come in, and then we may never see them again, but Jesus said, “If I be lifted up from the Earth I will draw all men unto me”, so every week we lift Him up and He in turn draws souls. I truly love the Lord!

My advice to you, my dear sister, is to continue to pray for God to send a woman to mentor and teach you. Sometimes our searching can lead us wrong, but with God all things are possible. So many ministries have gone the apostate route, and have gotten away from the truth of the gospel; they find it is more important to be served than to serve, and that is abominable when Jesus Himself was a servant and gave Himself for US! In the meantime I am here for you, questions, comments or whatever I am available. Also feel free to correct me, I am not without fault. I walk by faith and not by sight allowing God to direct my path and I believe that we all have something to offer the next believer. Thank you so much again for stopping by, I appreciate the post on VC leading you here as well. I try to blog once a week, but my school work is drowning me LOL! Pray for me, as I will be praying with you. God bless you, and hopefully we will talk soon!

      A Pastor`s Wife 🙂
