You are so right Sis…as we witness the doctrinal decline and the shallow standards in many churches today it puts you between a rock and a hard place, the desire to pray, but also with the understanding that church members “Gather to themselves teachers that will tell them what they want to hear” 2 Tim 4:3-4 (and not what they need to hear)
It still trips me out that no matter what these ‘pimp preachers’ do their supporters will defend them to the death..! And will cuss you out, up, down & sideways and in the same breath say “I’ll pray for you”
Forgetting, “Out of the same mouth proceed blessing & cursing. My bretheren these things should not be” – James 3:10
I know its not just me, but sometimes (humanly speaking) I feel like a “Lone Ranger Christian” without Tonto -

Hi Brother Jerry, I have really missed your postings and had mentioned it recently to my husband, so it’s a pleasure to see you around again. I cannot be a hypocrite either because my schedule has been so busy that I’ve rarely had time to finish a thought much less a blog. I am praying that God will allow me the time once again, to finish some of the drafts that I have started.

In regard to the “new” ministries they are all abominations from the stripper pole to the youth and their “Harlem Shake” in the church, God is NOT pleased. However, rest assured that all these things must come to pass before Jesus returns. I console myself with those thoughts and continue praying for the state of the apostate church. Hang in there Jerry and I hope to hear from you soon!

Thank u for posting the truth. I have been a victim of this spiritual abuse and God has been opening my eyes and setting me free. For a while I was in denial about it and didnt know what was even happening to me. If its possible “pastors wife” may I have your email to further discuss my situation and to pray? Thank you again for this truth and for exposing this subject.

Hello IPW!
Its been a while, I agree with your assessement of this “gospel” movie (yeah, right) thats why I refused to suppport it with my $$$$$…today anything tagged gospel no matter how worldly or shallow is “anointed” if you’re a gospel singer and your music doesn’t glorify God its anointed, or continue having childern out of wed lock or live a lifestyle that God calls an abomination, preach false doctrine, con & cheat people out of their money and property “God is still using them ’cause they’re anointed..”
If everybodys so anointed, why is there so much confusion and scandal in todays churches?!

People use the word ‘Anointing” all wily-nily because they have no ideal what the word means.
Sis, have you heard the latest “ministry” in circulation, “the stripper-pole gospel?”

Deuteronomy 26:12
New International Version (NIV)
12 When you have finished setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied.

If I am reading this correctly (correct me if I am wrong) the tithe should be once every three years, and should be 10% of first fruits divided 3 ways… 1 to the Levite, 2 people you don’t know 3 widows and orphans…..

So if they really want to get picky then that’s the way I will do it

Hi Ann,

The Jezebel spirit is not one that “comes and goes”. It may lie dormant while it seeks out a new avenue to destroy what God has built, but trust it is always there. For a pastor or church leader to acknowledge that they are afflicted with this spirit yet not step down is a dangerous sign and they are not someone to be “followed” because they do NOT have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. The Holy Spirit will not inhabit an unclean temple nor will God’s spirit abide in that house (meaning the church). Yes, definitely continue to pray that God will have mercy and deliver them, but in the meantime protect yourself through prayer because this spirit can use anyone. Jaj, thank you for your comments. This is more common than many would like to think; this spirit in the church is akin to the Jezebel spirit and its ultimate goal is to keep the people from growing in the knowledge of God, and to keep us subject to man. God is raising up a remnant of people who are not afraid to confront this spirit or these abusive pastors, but as you stated we who have been freed need to intercede on behalf of those still in bondage. I talk to people everyday who, to be frank, sound like slaves from the 1700s when speaking about their “church” and their “passa”; I remember a time where I was the same way. Thank God for His spirit and the freedom that comes with it. God bless you too and thank you again for commenting!

Thank you for responding. It was nothing but God that revealed it to me. I truly believe, in the flesh you can not discern this spirit. Everything in the natural looked perfect. In fact so perfect I didn’t want to believe that this jezebel spirit was in operation. Yes, I have prayed and lightly spoke to them about it, and they acknowledge it was there and had been there for years. They said “oh it comes and goes”. Even the ahab spirit and the eunuchs are in operation. When God revealed it to me I was shocked. I will continue to pray for them. Thank you!
