When a Child Dies

Hi Blessed Readers!

I know that it has been a while since I’ve posted but there have been many stumblingblocks to my writing lately, not the least of which is the new job that I’ve acquired. I am now past the trial phase of that job and that means that I have a few spare minutes to share what God has put on my heart.

First let me explain a little bit of what I do. My work is in the healthcare field, and in my day-to-day job I interact with children with not just special needs, but needs that have to be carefully monitored by on-site nurses. I work with children with cerebal palsy, spina bifida, Down’s Syndrome and many other complicated medical issues. Being there everyday with them will cause so much joy, sometimes sadness with setbacks, but most of all it caused me to reevaluate my own life, principles and needs. I know that personally I took for granted that the things I needed or wanted would always be there, because I serve an “on-time God”; even when things seemed to be at their lowest point I knew that God would come through for me.

But what happens when a child dies? Difficult question I’m sure. I cannot answer that because as of this writing I have four healthy children. Read the rest of this entry »

The Fool…

While watching the Nightly News last week I saw a story in regards to atheist billboards; this was on national news which was interesting. It prompted me to see how widespread this billboard thing really was, and the result is in the following video. Perhaps we can be as proactive as they are in spreading the TRUTH about our savior? Think about it!

(I apologize for the clarity of the video. God’s enemy gave me a fit in preparing it!)

The “New Normal” or A Satanic Disorder?

And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. – Genesis 2:22-24

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

- 1 Corinthians 11:3

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. – Ephesians 5:22-23

God is perfect and everything that He created He called “good”. The union of Adam and Eve was one of those good things, and perfect in the eyes of God, but ever since that fateful meeting between Eve and the serpent there has been a disrupted order in what God created. Even to this day…

I was watching the Olympics on NBC television one night and I saw an advertisement for a new show coming up this fall entitled, “The New Normal”, and the title grabbed my attention but I saw little of the actual ad so the next time that commercials came on I paid attention. The premise of this show is that apparently a young pregnant woman who is single (I believe) wants to give up her newborn to a family who is looking to adopt. The main contender and potential “parents” are a homosexual male “couple”. SHOCKER? Or not.

Well, interestingly enough I had CBS on a few days later and ran across an advertisement for another show, this one called “Partners”, with a premise that is close to “TNN” but without the adoption link. It is supposedly about two best friends, one gay and one straight and their significant “others”.

Keep in mind that these shows are a part of “Network Programming“, not cable offerings. I had to ask myself in light of what this country is facing right now, is “The New Normal” just a comedy show or is it another subliminal push against God’s order? The answer seems pretty clear, as we, the body of Christ, face massive amounts of intolerance from the LGBT community. God clearly and plainly stated in His word what normal constitutes, but the world wants to change His normal into a “new” normal.

The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done : and there is no new thing under the sun (Eccles. 1:9).

Consider the institutions in our society; yes the institution of marriage is my primary focus of this blog, but we have other major institutions in this country which are affected by this satanic disorder: government, schools, mass media and the church.

The Government

Our “esteemed” President is highly regarded in this country so when he openly backed same-sex marriage he was highly lauded by many. He played right into the satanic agenda for votes, but anyone who understands the new world order and the satanic disorder attached to it knows that anyone with that position would have stated the same. We can go as far back as the Clinton Administration to make the same point; when Hillary wrote her book, “It takes a village to raise a child”, she too was highly praised. Why? Because that book supported the stance that a traditional family wasn’t necessary to raise a child, as long as there was a “village” of neighbors, friends, colleagues, etc. to help. That goes against God’s word.

Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up (Deut. 11:18-19).

I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.

Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.

For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:

That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God (Psalms 78:1-8).

God did not command a “village” to raise His children, that was the job of the family headed by the father. So now we have the government changing the rules, and attempting to skew God’s order once more. By endorsing the same-sex marriage push, this nation’s leader has backed the sodomite agenda just as in the days of Noah. Additionally, he has allowed state leaders to redefine what is acceptable according to the Constitution; his former Chief of Staff dictated that he would not allow Chik Fil A to build in his city of Chicago because of the CEOs personal views against SSM; POTUS, being a former Constitutional Law professor at Harvard, remained quiet throughout as Emanuel and other mayors took this stance. One more thing about our esteemed leader; his “evolution” about SSM this spring was no evolution at all; In 1996, as he ran for Illinois state Senate, Chicago’s Outlines gay newspaper asked candidates to fill out a questionnaire. He wrote on the 1996 questionnaire, “I favor legalizing same-sex marriages, and would fight efforts to prohibit such marriages.” In 2008 during the Presidential race he stated that he believed marriage was between one man and one woman. This summer he is in full support of SSM, as he has evolved. Or was it devolved?

The Schools

One thing is painfully clear, Christianity has all but been removed from our schools; it seems like our children have to hide even in order to pray over their food in lunch, but if that was the worst of it we would be fine. The satanic disorder is quietly creeping into our children’s educational system.

Gay history is now a requirement in California public schools because of a new state law that says the contributions of gays and lesbians must be included in social studies instruction. Now teachers are figuring out how to incorporate the new material into their classes (NPR, 7/22/11). Read the whole story: HERE

This agenda is targeted toward our children, of course, but it sets a very dangerous precedent as it seeks to anesthetize our kid’s minds to make homosexuality more acceptable, ergo normal, to them. By comparing homosexual history to Black American, Mexican-American, or Native American history this law diminishes what these cultural groups have actually experienced to achieve and accomplish what they have. Sexual orientation is not comparable to racial identity, and the goal of this agenda is to create empathy in children toward those who identify themselves as gay. Additionally our schools are being overrun by LGBT groups under the guise of equality; one of them, GLSEN, is the Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Educational Network. Their goal:

“GLSEN strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. It is a growing, well-funded homosexual organization that promotes homosexual identity and behavior on campus. It has been very successful in gaining access on campus by working with such influential groups as the National Education Association”.

This doesn’t sound too bad, right? Well you have to go a little deeper to find the root of their true agenda:

  • GLSEN believes the early sexualization of children can be beneficial. This means that virtually any sexual activity as well as exposure to graphic sexual images and material, is not just permissible but good for children, as part of the process of discovering their sexuality.
  • “Coming out” (calling oneself or believing oneself to be homosexual) and even beginning homosexual sex practices at a young age, is a normal and positive experience for youth which should be encouraged by teachers and parents, according to GLSEN.
  • Bisexuality, “fluid” sexuality and sexual experimentation is encouraged by GLSEN as a right for all students.
  • Meeting other “gay” and “questioning” youth, sometimes without parental knowledge, is a frequent theme in GLSEN materials. At these meetings, minors will come into contact with college-age people and adults practicing homosexuality.
  • In GLSEN material, the “cool” adults—parents, teachers and counselors—are those who encourage students to embrace homosexuality and cross-dressing. They also allow adult-level freedoms and let children associate with questionable teens or adults.
  • GLSEN resources contain many hostile, one-sided anti-Christian vignettes and opinions, as well as false information about Christianity and the Bible’s position on homosexuality. This encourages antagonism against biblical morality and increases the risk that youth will experiment with high-risk behavior.
  • The spirituality presented positively in GLSEN resources is heavily laced with occult themes and nightmarish images.

And it’s all starting in California. Take note that the Gay-Straight Alliance began in the early 1990s, and now has clubs in more than 3,000 U.S. High Schools. Parents, please be aware of the changes in your children’s school and curriculum. This type of change is detrimental to the body of Christ and the structure of the family as defined by God.

Mass Media

Mass Media is defined as communication whether written, broadcast, or spoken—that reaches a large audience. This includes television, radio, advertising, movies, the Internet, newspapers, magazines, and so forth, even some weblogs. The purpose of this type of communication is to send out a message that will be delivered, received, and transferred. We have all probably heard that satan is the “god of the air”, and by association, the airwaves; so many messages that he wants to get across, he will use mass media to communicate them. The first example I would like to present is – HOMOPHOBES. How many times have you heard that word bandied about in the media when someone protests against the gay movement, or even speaks in less than glowing terms about homosexuality? Usually the word is directed toward practicing Christians who believe in the bible and God’s word. We are homophobes according to gay rights activists. Or are we?

HOMOPHOBE

noun
a person who fears or hates homosexuals  and homosexuality.

Well I can only speak for myself, but I neither fear nor hate those who practice homosexuality; as a matter of fact I love them and pray that they come to the TRUE knowledge of Christ and His forgiveness of their unrepentant sin. However, that view doesn’t suit mass media so they use a litany of adjectives like a drumbeat to pound upside the heads of those who are on the fence about homosexuality. Those who oppose it are “homophobes” or “intolerant” and “filled with hate”, or “bigots”. With the media over-stressing this mantra they have striken fear in the hearts of those who actually oppose homosexuality and/or same-sex marriage. People are in fear of speaking out against it because then they will have one of those dreaded labels attached to them! I want to give a few short examples of how mass media is pushing this satanic disorder, feel free to Google anything that is not explicitly spelled out: Written – “My Princess Boy”, is a mother’s story about her son’s love and penchant for dressing up in frilly pink dresses and pink high-heeled shoes and how others should accept their children for who and what they want to be. This poor child is FIVE years old, and the media, and his MOTHER had him with his bright smile and pink tutu on every major broadcast channel as they preached “love and acceptance”. He never stood a chance.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Prov. 22:6)

Music is easy, the agenda promoted is everywhere from Lady Gaga’s “Born this way” (no you weren’t), to Justin Bieber and his tight girl jeans and nail polish. Back in the late 80s into the 90s female rappers were encouraged to be “hard”, and now we have Queen Latifah, a not-so-closeted lesbian and others who are similar. Sexual promiscuity is promoted by “icons” like Madonna (who kissed two women on a national stage), and Beyonce who sings about “If I were a boy”. Rock legends like Steven Tyler dress like flambouyant women, wearing feather boas and earrings and full makeup. Then there is Cher who is supporting her daughter Chastity, well…now son, Chaz who underwent a highly publicized sexual reassignment surgery and is now transgendered. All of these people have received extreme amounts of mass media attention in order to push and further this agenda.

Then there are television and movies. As my opening pointed out, “The New Normal” and “Partners” are the newest entries on the scene, but television has been becoming more degenerate for years and promoting an antichrist agenda steadily since the mid 80s, when Billy Crystal portrayed “Jodi Dallas” on the sitcom “Soap”; I am sure that there were earlier instances, but the Crystal one is the earliest in my memory. Remember the very controversial sitcom “Ellen”? This was before her hugely popular talk show; she was the catalyst for acceptance of the gay lifestyle into MSM. Once there wasn’t a widely negative reaction to her show, presumably because she is so “funny”, that ushered in a rush of other shows like, “Queer eye for the straight guy”, “Will & Grace”, “Queer as folk”, “The L Word”, “Glee” and this past fall’s “Smash”, all of which featured a central or prominent gay character or two or three. Many of these shows used comedy to push the agenda further, and others are pretty explicit for what they show in prime time. To be clear, I have not watched many of these shows, but I have read enough about them that I know they fit the theme of this writing. The characters in these shows are usually the cutesy, quirky types and almost always have a wonderful sense of humor. The point and purpose of this is to make their lifestyle more acceptable to the masses by saying, “hey they’re just like me and they’re OK”!

Charisma Magazine online (2012) cited this:

The gay agenda in media hasn’t just affected older audiences, but has been painfully apparent in targeting children under the guise of teaching “tolerance and diversity.” In January 2005, for example, several major children’s television shows joined with the We Are Family Foundation to promote the homosexual agenda using kiddy favorites such as Arthur, Barney, Bob the Builder, Dora the Explorer and Jimmy Neutron. After the characters sang “We Are Family” together, they directed kids to the website of the pro-homosexual We Are Family Foundation, which teaches them to accept and celebrate differences of race, class, genders and “sexual identity.”

A cartoon feature aired on the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and PBS on March 11, 2005, and was supposed to be shown to kids in 61,000 schools nationwide. Each child was to be given a workbook designed by the very liberal, very pro-homosexual Anti-Defamation League. To top it off, children were being urged to visit a website where they could sign the “Tolerance Pledge,” which promises to respect all people whose “abilities, beliefs, culture, race, sexual identity or other characteristics are different from my own.”

This is an example of how mass media uses subliminal messages to influence our youth; this commercial is newer and features famous athletes as the voice of “acceptance” and “reason” for young girls. Note the stances, and voiceovers. Called, “Voices” it is by Just Do It, or Nike:

I am going to close out this blog soon and continue the “church” angle on another writing later, but I wanted to explore “Network Programming”, otherwise known as ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox; these are your major television networks not linked to cable and the shows that they “choose” to air. I looked up the word Programming just for reference and while the first definition had to do with computers, the second definition was “Predetermined behavior”. So, the network decides what to put on the air(waves) because they have already determined how we will behave after viewing what they air. That’s pretty much what it means; if they air enough homosexuals doing things that non-homosexuals do, eventually they will desensitize the masses into believing that their sexual behavior is normal, and should be accepted! Combine the programming with the new school order, the college campus push for sexual freedom, music for the masses and lack of Godly parenting and what do we have? The New Normal? Or…

A Satanic Disorder?

God told his people to “be fruitful and multiply (Gen. 1:28)”, and the satanic disorder wants the opposite of what God wants so he will try to destroy the family (divorce, separation, anger, strife) from the inside out, and he will work on the minds of the innocents, the children, the unchurched and the Christians whose minds are not stayed on God; how does he do this? Through perversion, fear, the media, insecurities and loneliness he will use all of the things described in this blog to infiltrate your conscience and influence your thinking. There are no two ways about it, two men cannot procreate nor can two women. This is why there seems to be a super-push for acceptance of homosexuality while reviling God’s word and the traditional family.

FAQs

Q. Do you believe that homosexuality is a worse sin than lying or adultery or murder?

A. No, not at all. ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and all sin requires repentance.

Q. You seem to be “attacking” the homosexual lifestyle, what have they ever done to you?

A. “Attack”. That is another buzzword that the media has perpetuated. Standing on the Word of God and calling sin what it is cannot be constituted as an attack. The issue is more with His word than with me; God told us to “cry loud and spare not, show the people their sin (Isa. 58:1)”.

Q. Why are you judging others?

A. I don’t believe that I have. If I have, hopefully I have judged righteously and if not, then I have a God to repent to as well.

Please note: I will not engage in any arguments about what is written here in the comments section, but I always welcome opinions pro and con. I will end on these notes:

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Prov. 14:12).
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph. 6:12).
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire (Jude 1:7).

“I would just lose my mind….”

…this was the response of someone when I asked her what she would do without her cellular phone. That phrase, “I would just lose my mind” made me really start thinking about us and what we would do if we ever lost technological capabilities. As a matter of fact, I thought that if technology were the Mark of the Beast as described in the book of Relevation that most of us would be lost! So let’s talk for a second about the mind, since it seems so easy to lose it over trivial things; we all know about the five senses (touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing) but this data is used by the brain with its 5 basic aptitudes: attention, memory, learning, recall and speech with more than 10 billion neurons and connectors all working together. That is a lot going on up there in the ole noggin, isn’t it? Now let’s talk memory; there are three types of memory, imprinting sensory, short-term and long-term. In imprinting sensory the information is an immediate perception and can be lost in .3 seconds if not stored in your short term memory. With your short term memory information can last for a few seconds, but will be lost if not subject to repetition. Your STM can remember seven digits, but a ten digit phone number will not stay in your short term memory. Remember your ABCs? It took quite a while and a whole lot of repetition before we mastered that artful collage of letters. :) The ABCs is a prime example of long term memory; this enables us to recall memories from long ago due to repetition. As we age, however, long term memory can be influenced by other biological factors and degeneration.

Are you there God, it’s me (insert name here….)

Do you remember that teenage novel? It helped many of us girls come of age, and some boys too, if you’re being honest. The girl in that book had some issues, teenage angst to be sure, but issues none the less and she knew where to turn. Even though she knew who to turn to for answers it did not make her question any less naive. As Christians we have learned that God is omnipresent (everywhere), omnipotent (with unlimited power) and omniscient (all-knowing) so how is it that we can ask such silly questions as “are you there God?”, “Can you hear me God?”, “Don’t you care God?” What do we expect to hear from Him after we have posed such child-like questions to Him?

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 KJV)

Condemnation!

I have a younger brother who I adore. I remember the day that he was sentenced for some crimes that he never thought that he would get caught committing; he was young, carefree and thought that he ruled the world, but the world was ruling him. On his sentencing day when I heard the judge bang the gavel, and I watched the bailiff lead him out of the side door my heart broke. He looked back and winked at me as if to say, “it will be OK” but I wasn’t convinced. I visited him before he was transported to the prison and my heart broke again as the guard led him in wearing both hand and ankle cuffs with chains. Several years later I took my family to the prison on the day of his release and when he walked out of those iron bars I felt his freedom for him. He was free! We were all ecstatic for him, we walked out of those gates and never looked back. Except my brother, he was free…yet he wasn’t free…

I was discussing my life with my eldest son a few days back, and he seemed shocked at some of the things that I had done in my lifetime; I wasn’t an angel by any stretch of the imagination though I know that will shock some of you (smile); so when I make the statement that Christ set me free, I really mean it. I did not look back, I did my best to try not to go back, and even on the most trying days when I was at my weakest I sometimes yelled out for the Lord to help me hold on, because the chains that I had been held in were so tight. Many of you are probably in the same predicament. You have done something, gone somewhere or behaved in some unseemly manner and now you are living in regret, not knowing how to free yourself from the guilt or shame of it and you probably feel as if you will never be able to get back to God. It is well…

Thank you for all of the email inquiries, the text messages (for those who have my number) and general messages in regards to my whereabouts. I am fine! Those who know God know that we are on HIS time, He is not on ours and sometimes He has us do things that we (or someone else) may not understand. With that said, I will be away from the blogospehere for a little while until the Lord tells me different. I trust God and know that He knows what is best for me; if you find yourself not understanding then please pray. I may be away for a few hours, a few days or a few weeks, but I will not write again until He says so.

Thank you all so much for your support of my writing and this I know – I will be back! Please keep the site bookmarked. God bless you,

What are YOU wearing?

No, sorry, this post is not about who wore what to which awards show, as if that even really matters in the long run. I had an interesting conversation with a lady at my salon about a week ago; many of you know that I go to a bi-weekly appointment, and I relish bringing the Word of God with me and sharing it with anyone that He puts in my path. The last time that I was there I was in the middle of talking to this lady and I suppose I mentioned that my husband was a pastor, and she responded with a side eye and said, “whoa, whoa, back up…you’re a pastor’s wife?” To which I smiled and responded in the affirmative. She had a quizzical look on her face which prompted me to ask what was wrong; well, her response tickled me: “You don’t look like a pastor’s wife”. Ohhh ok, I felt much better. Of course, with me being me I had to play along for a little bit; I asked her, “so what does a pastor’s wife look like”, and she began to stammer and look embarrassed, then she apologized as if she had offended me. To the contrary, I was humored and thankful, but I still wanted to hear her explanation and I waited patiently for it. She stated that I didn’t dress like a first lady, and that whenever she saw me there that I was always casual and laid back (I don’t know what that has to do with looks, but ohkay!). I got it though, I already knew where she was going… Read the rest of this entry »

Finish the race.

I have to admit, I love sports! My husband and I coached, for many years, peewee football and middle school football; he was the head coach and I coached the receivers as well as being the personal team trainer. I also enjoy watching other spectator sports, but the one that I want to focus on today is track and field. Our youngest daughter participates in this sport; she runs the four by one-hundred, the one hundred meter, and she does both one hundred meter hurdles and shuttle hurdles.

The other day the team had their preliminaries and since my daughter missed track last year because of our move, I knew that she was a bundle of nerves. There were about six other teams competing, and the competition looked tough. My daughter’s last event was the shuttle hurdles, and if you don’t know what they are (which I didn’t at the time) it is where there are 5-6 lanes and each lane has ten hurdles placed among 100 meters, and each team has 4 members poised by two on each end of their lanes; once one teammate clears their ten hurdles the next teammate comes back in the opposite direction, and so on until all team members have cleared their set. *Whew* Read the rest of this entry »

Through the Fire! (A Testimony)

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy (1 Peter 4:12-13).

I have always told my family that there are two ways that I do not want to die: one is that I shiver at the thought of drowning, with my lungs being filled with water and not being able to breathe , NOOO! The other way is that I do NOT want to die in a fire; it’s just unfathomable to me, and even when I see the news about a home being on fire with people left in it, my heart weeps for them. It seems such a tragic way to pass! Yet many times we as believers are walking through fire without the flames; the heat of our trial becomes so hot that we feel that we are suffocating, can’t breathe and feel that we may not survive. We have all heard the term “trial by fire”, and it is usually applied to initiations, new employment or some other carnal ceremony or ritual. What about Godly trials? Do you have what it takes to survive them?

Just a little while ago I was listening to a song that had me praising God, and before I got two minutes into it I received bad news on two sides; one came in the mail and the other via the doorbell, and it happened in rapid succession! My trial had begun. After I got a chance to catch my breath for a second, I can be completely honest and say that I began to cry, and I could hardly catch my breath. When my son asked me what was wrong, I told him that I can usually be the strong one, take things to God in prayer and leave it, yet in that moment I allowed the fire to consume me. I told him that it was one thing on top of the next thing on top of another thing, and that I felt that it was more than I could bear. Then I laughed through my tears and remembered that Jesus’ burden was much heavier, as He carried the whole world on His shoulders. When my son asked me how he could help, I laughed again and told him, “only God can help me right now son, thanks”. Read the rest of this entry »
